Two-Two

Two-Two reflects a quiet moment of waiting.

She sits on the bench, poised but at rest, pointe shoes crossed lightly over the worn wooden floor. I was drawn to the space between effort and performance — the pause where discipline settles into stillness. The title nods to the tutu, but also to the rhythm of repetition that shapes a dancer long before the curtain rises.

Light moves gently across lace, ribbon, and muscle, revealing strength beneath delicacy. There is nothing theatrical here. Just preparation. Just patience.

The scuffed floor and simple bench ground the piece in honesty. Grace, in my view, is not effortless — it is earned. In this moment of waiting, that quiet devotion becomes visible.
